Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a chance for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second consecutive succession.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
